I am someone who needs organization in my life. Over the past years, I have tried so many different ways to plan my day from multiple sticky notes to bullet journaling. Some things have worked, other turned into “organized chaos.” If you are in the same place as I was, keep reading.
I would watch YouTube videos, read Pinterest blogs, anything out there to try to figure out the best way to organize my daily agenda for maximum results in productivity. I tried so many things and it seemed to only get less organized! That’s when I realized something that completely changed my way of planning.
Before coming up with an action plan answer the following:
Based On Your Results..
Now that you’ve taken the quiz, now it’s time to incorporate these planning methods into your every day life. Scroll and find the result you got.
Congrats! There is a bullet journal out there just waiting to be filled with all your beautiful spreads. Okay, that’s all great, but how do I even do this? Well, I’m glad you asked! Keep on reading and you’ll find that bullet journaling isn’t really all that scary.
- dot grid notebook with bookmark
- fineliner or ballpoint pens
- colored pencils or markers*
- stickers, washi tape, brush pens, stencils*
My favorite kits, journals, and supplies:
Don’t be stressed with all the supplies. There are starter kits that are very good deals on Amazon that have all you need and more. If you aren’t super artistic, that’s okay too! No one has to see your journal but you. Don’t get stressed out when you accidently misspell something or your lines aren’t perfectly straight. If it really matters to you, get creative with how you cover it up. Use washi tape or glue pages together if you must. Don’t worry, a bad drawing day is not the end of the world.
I love printables! They can be colorful and fun, but also time efficient and practical.
These are where you can find my favorite printables:
To Do List
To-do lists can actually be pretty simple. Just buy a little notebook or notepad and fill it up with your day’s to-dos.
What better way to surround yourself with productivity than literally surrounding yourself with it?! I mean, you can put sticky notes literally wherever you want. Carry around your pad of sticky notes wherever you go and write down anything and everything. Then place them in your planner, wherever you will see it throughout your day.
Best places to keep a pad of sticky notes
- on the fridge
Best places to put your sticky note lists when they’re written out
- on the fridge
- in your wallet
- in your car
- in your planner
- on the calendar
*make sure that you place the sticky notes in places that relate to what you have to do-example: on a sticky note you write down clean toilet, put it in the bathroom so you see it when you use the bathroom*
If you feel like you might not be able to find them all, just keep them all in one place. This method doesn’t work for everyone, but if this is the result you got on the test, you should probably consider trying it out.
I use my phone to jot down thoughts all the time. It’s so convenient to be able to literally talk to your phone and have it write it down for you.
Here are my favorite note taking apps that I use on my phone:
- Apple Notes
- Google Keep
- Zoho Notebook
- Google tasks
- Actions by Moleskine
*I am an Iphone user, and I am not sure if all of these apps are available for android or pc*
Realizing what planning method is right for you is essential to planning your everyday life. It saves you so much time and money from not having to try all these different methods.
Thank you so much for taking my little quiz! Let me know how you like it. It was fun to make, and I’d be happy to make more in the future. Happy planning!
